Credit Note Overview
What is Credit Note?
Credit Note is a document issued to customers to reduce or cancel the amount owed on an invoice. It creates a credit balance that can be applied against future invoices or refunded to the customer, adjusting accounts receivable and revenue accordingly.
When a customer sends goods back, you can raise the credit note straight from the return: tick Enable auto credit note on the Sales Return. It is unticked by default, so a return does not raise a credit note unless you ask it to. Otherwise, raise the credit note from here when you are ready.
