Material Handover
Material Handover decides whether a storeman has to hand material over — on a posted material issue that names the store it went into — before a work order stage is allowed to consume it. You pick one of two modes, Relaxed or Strict, for each business unit.
A business unit runs Relaxed until you change it.
The Production group under Configuration is shown only to tenant administrators.
The two modes

A stage that draws no material at all — an output-only step, or a service step such as inspection or packing — never needs a handover, even in Strict mode.
Change the mode
- In the Admin console, open Configuration → Production → Material Handover.
- The page first tells you which mode the business unit is running right now.
- Choose Relaxed or Strict.
- Read the note that appears, then click Save.
If the page can't read the current mode, it says so and offers Try again — it never guesses which mode you are in.
What happens when you switch
- Relaxed → Strict: from the moment you save, a stage with no posted material issue for its run is refused, and the operator is told to post one or to have the setting turned back off. Work already posted is not re-checked or changed.
- Strict → Relaxed: stages stop waiting for a handover and operators pick the store again. Material issues already posted stay exactly as they are — nothing is reversed.
The new rule applies to every stage posted after you save. But anyone who already has Bizconnekt open keeps the old screen until they refresh the page or sign in again. If your team does not raise material issues yet, or your store list is empty, stay on Relaxed — in Strict mode every stage in the plant would stop.
