Production Reports
Production reports turn everything happening on your shop floor into a few clear pictures — how much you've made, what's still in progress, how busy your machines and people are, and how each shift performed. You don't build these; they fill in on their own as work orders run. This page is a plain-terms tour of what each one answers, so you know which to open for the question you have.
Availability depends on your plan and your role.
The reports, and the question each one answers

| Resource utilisation | "How busy are our machines and people?" — how much of your available capacity is being used, and where the spare (or the strain) is. |
| Shift-wise summary | "How did each shift do?" — output and activity broken down by shift, so you can compare mornings with nights. |
Quantity produced
This is the "what did we make" report. It shows the finished goods your work orders produced over a period, grouped by product. Use it to check output against what you planned, to see which products are moving through production, and to confirm that finished stock actually landed where it should.
Work in progress
Not everything is finished — some batches are part-way through their route. This report shows those in-flight jobs: what's been started, which stage each one has reached, and what's still to come. It's your at-a-glance answer to "what's on the floor and how close is it to done".
Resource utilisation
Every machine, tool and skilled person has only so many hours in a day. This report shows how much of that capacity your production is actually using — so you can see what's running flat out, what's sitting idle, and where a bottleneck is quietly building. It's the report to open when you're deciding whether you can take on more work.
Shift-wise summary
If you run more than one shift, this report splits production by shift so you can compare like with like. It answers "which shift is producing more, and where do things slow down" — useful for spotting patterns you can't see when the day is lumped together.
