How Sales Reports Work

Data Flow

  1. Real-time updates as sales orders, invoices, and payments are recorded in the system
  2. Automatic calculations for order totals, unbilled amounts, fulfillment percentages, and customer-wise totals
  3. Instant visibility without waiting for batch processing or manual compilation
  4. Drill-down capability to trace any number back to source sales orders or invoices

Key Metrics Across Reports

Order Value Tracking

SO Amount shows the total order value including all taxes, providing the complete picture of order size and revenue commitment.

Unbilled Amount tracks the portion of sales orders not yet converted to invoices, helping monitor the billing pipeline and revenue recognition timeline.

Status Monitoring

Sales orders progress through multiple statuses from creation to completion:

  • Open - New orders awaiting fulfillment
  • Partial Fulfilled - Orders with some items shipped, some pending
  • Fully Fulfilled - All items delivered, may have pending invoicing
  • In Review - Orders pending approval or verification

Customer Analysis

Reports group and analyze data by customer to identify:

  • Top revenue-generating customers
  • Customers with highest order volumes
  • Payment patterns and credit utilization
  • Customer-specific sales trends

Product Performance

Item-level reports reveal:

  • Best-selling products by quantity and revenue
  • Average selling prices across items
  • Tax collection by product category
  • Product mix and portfolio performance
