How to View and Manage Pricing Rules in Bizconnekt
Availability depends on your plan and your role.
The Pricing list shows every price rule you have set up, so you can check what price a customer or supplier is on, see which rules are active, and update them as your prices change. This guide covers finding rules, filtering the list, and editing a rule.
How do I open the pricing list?
- Go to Item Central from the sidebar.
- Open Pricing.
- The list of your pricing rules appears.
What does the list show?
Each row is one pricing rule, with the key details at a glance:
| Column | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Direction | Whether it is a selling price or a buying rate |
| Customer / Supplier | The party it applies to, or "all" |
| Item | The product or service being priced |
| Channel | The sales route it covers |
| Price | The unit price |
| Discounts | Whether volume or early-payment discounts are attached |
| Valid from / to | The dates the rule applies |
| Status | Whether the rule is currently active — see below |
What do the statuses mean?
The status tells you whether a rule is working right now:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | Currently applying to your documents |
| Quoted | Attached to a quotation, awaiting the outcome |
| Draft | Saved but not yet in effect |
| Expired | Its end date has passed, so it no longer applies |
An expired rule stays in the list for your records; it simply stops affecting new documents.
How do I find a particular rule?
Use search and filters to narrow the list:
- Search by customer, supplier, or item to jump to the rules you want.
- Filter by direction (Sales or Purchase), by channel, or by status to focus the list — for example, show only active Sales rules.
- Combine filters to answer a specific question, such as "what is this customer on for this item".
How do I review a rule in detail?
- Open a rule from the list.
- Review the price, the volume and early-payment discount bands, and the validity dates.
- Confirm the direction, customer or supplier, item, and channel are what you expect.
This is the quickest way to check exactly what price and discounts a customer or supplier will receive before you quote or buy.
How do I edit a rule?
- Find the rule in the list.
- Open it for editing.
- Update the price, discount bands, or validity dates as needed.
- Save your changes.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Editing a rule changes the price your team sees from that point on, so review the change before you save.
- To stop a price without deleting its history, set an end date rather than removing the rule.
- Setting a fresh price for the same item and channel replaces the earlier one.
How do I retire a rule?
To take a price out of use, give it an effective to date in the past or today. It moves to Expired and stops applying to new documents, while remaining on record so you can see what price applied and when.
Common tasks
| I want to… | Do this |
|---|---|
| Check what a customer is paying for an item | Filter by that customer and item, then open the active rule |
| See only prices in effect now | Filter status to Active |
| Update a price | Open the rule, change the price, and save |
| Stop a seasonal price | Set its end date |
| Review supplier rates | Filter direction to Purchase |
Troubleshooting
I cannot find a rule I created
- Clear any filters that may be hiding it (for example a status or channel filter).
- Check whether its end date has passed and it now shows as Expired.
I can see rules but cannot edit them
- Viewing and editing pricing depend on your plan and your role. Ask your administrator to confirm your access.
A price on a document does not match the rule I expected
- A more specific rule (for example one set for that exact customer) takes priority over a general one. Open both to see which one applies.
- Check the document's date falls inside the rule's valid-from and valid-to range.
