Stores
A store is simply a named place your goods sit — your Raw Material Store, your Finished Goods Store, the cold room. Setting up your stores tells Bizconnekt where things are kept, so every count and every movement points at a real shelf instead of a vague "somewhere in the warehouse".

The three levels: location, store group, store
Bizconnekt describes your physical world in three simple levels — the same way you'd describe it out loud to a new employee.

So you build it top-down: a location (your site) can have store groups (buildings or zones you can nest as deep as you like), and inside those sit the stores where stock actually rests.
A store is the smallest place Bizconnekt tracks. Racks, pallets, shelves and bins inside a store aren't tracked separately yet — a store is treated as one place.
When to set stores up
You set up stores once, near the start, and rarely touch them again. Do it when:
- You've added your sites and now want to say where, inside each site, goods are kept.
- You want your stock counts split by area — raw materials apart from finished goods, for instance — instead of one big pile.
- You're about to start receiving goods, running production, or shipping orders, and want each movement to land in the right place.
If you keep everything in one place, you can start with a single store per site and add more later. Nothing forces you to model every shelf on day one.

The kinds of store, and how to label them
When you add a store you choose its kind, and you can give it an optional storage type label.

The storage type is a label to help you organise, and nothing more — it enforces nothing. Labelling a store "Quarantine" does not block goods from being issued out of it. Whether goods are good or damaged is tracked on the goods themselves, not on the store they sit in. Use the label to stay tidy, not as a lock.
A store can also be marked Active or inactive, so an area you no longer use stops appearing in your everyday lists without being deleted.
Two things worth knowing before you start
Store names only need to be unique within one site. Because each site is its own world, you can have a "Rack A" at Pune and a "Rack A" at Nashik with no clash. Bizconnekt also gives every store its own code automatically, so you don't invent one.
Goods don't have to go straight into a store. When materials arrive you can receive them into a store, or leave them Unassigned — meaning "here at this site, not yet put away on a shelf." Unassigned stock is normal, fully counted and fully valued; it's just waiting to be placed.
And because a site holds the value of its stock, moving goods between two stores of the same site is a free re-tag — nothing about their cost or your accounts changes. Moving goods to a different site is a Stock Transfer, which does affect your books.
