View a Stock Adjustment
Overview
Every adjustment you record stays on file, so your corrections form a clear history — what changed, when, where, and why. This page covers how to find your adjustments and read one in full. Because each adjustment carries its reason, the list doubles as an audit trail of damage, loss and stock-take fixes.
Availability depends on your plan and your role.
Prerequisites
- You have permission to view stock adjustments.
Viewing your adjustments
From the left sidebar, open Stores & Inventory and choose Stock Adjustment to see the list of every adjustment you have recorded.
Each row shows the reference, the location, the date, and a summary of what was corrected. Use the search and filters to narrow the list by location or date range — handy when you are reconciling a particular site or a particular stock-take.
Click any row to open the full adjustment.
Reading a single adjustment
An open adjustment shows you everything that correction did:
| What you see | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Location (and store) | Where the count was corrected. |
| Date | When the correction applies. |
| Reason / Remark | Why the count changed — damage, loss, or a stock-take fix. |
| Item lines | Each item corrected, and the quantity that was added or removed. |
Read together, these answer the questions an audit asks: which stock changed, by how much, and on whose say-so. Keeping the reason specific when you create the adjustment is what makes this history useful months later.
Common Issues & Solutions
Issue: I can't find an adjustment I made
- Solution: Check the date-range and location filters on the list — they may be hiding it. Widen the range or clear the filters and search again.
Issue: I need to undo an adjustment
- Solution: Adjustments are a permanent record of what changed, so you don't delete them. To reverse one, create a new adjustment that applies the opposite change, with a reason that explains the correction.
Issue: The reason on an old adjustment is too vague to understand
- Solution: Nothing to fix on the old record, but going forward write specific reasons ("12 units damaged in transit", not just "adjustment") so the history stays readable.
Verification Checklist
- The adjustment you are looking for appears in the list.
- The location, date and reason match what you expected.
- The item lines show the right quantity added or removed.
- The current on-hand count reflects the adjustment.
