View, Progress and Quote Enquiries in Bizconnekt
Your enquiry list is your working desk of live opportunities. From here you find any deal, open it to see the full story, move it forward as things progress, log the calls and meetings you have, link a customer, raise a quotation, and finally mark the deal won or lost.
Availability depends on your plan and your role.
How do I find an enquiry?
Open the Sales menu and select Enquiry to see the list of all your enquiries. To narrow it down:
- Use the search box to find an enquiry by its title or reference number.
- Filter by stage to see only Open, In Discussion, Quoted, Won or Lost enquiries.
- Filter by priority to focus on your High-priority deals first.
- Filter by assignee to see the enquiries a particular salesperson is handling.
Combine filters to answer real questions, such as "which High-priority deals are still in discussion and assigned to me?".
How do I open and read an enquiry?
Click any enquiry in the list to open it. Inside you see the full picture in one place: the requirement, the contact details, the priority and value, the current stage, and the running history of everything that has happened on the deal. This is where you work the opportunity day to day.
How do I move an enquiry through its stages?
As your conversation with the customer progresses, update the stage so everyone can see where the deal stands.
- Open the enquiry.
- Change its stage — for example from Open to In Discussion, or from In Discussion to Quoted.
- When prompted, add a short reason for the change. This keeps a clear history of why the deal moved.
- Save.
Recording a reason at each step means anyone looking at the deal later understands the story without having to ask.
How do I log a call or meeting?
Just like a lead, an enquiry keeps a running log of every conversation, so nothing is forgotten.
- Open the enquiry and choose to log an activity.
- Pick the type — Phone Call, Online Meeting or Offline Meeting.
- Set the date and time.
- Choose the direction — Inbound (they called you) or Outbound (you called them).
- Record the outcome, and optionally the duration and any notes.
- Save.
Over time this builds a complete diary of the deal — invaluable when a customer says "but we discussed this last month".
How do I link a customer and raise a quotation?
When the requirement is firm and you are ready to send a price, you raise a quotation from the enquiry. Before you can, Bizconnekt needs to know who the quote is for — a sensible step, just like writing the customer's name at the top of a quote.
- Open the enquiry.
- Link a customer — either pick an existing customer or create one from the enquiry there and then.
- Now raise the Quotation from the enquiry.
- Add your priced items on the quotation and send it.
The enquiry keeps its links to the customer, the contact person and any quotations you raise, so the whole opportunity stays joined up. A business you are still quoting is a prospect; once they start buying, they become a customer — you can follow that in the Customer 360 view.
How do I mark an enquiry Won or Lost?
When the deal is decided, close it off so your pipeline stays accurate.
- Open the enquiry.
- Set the stage to Won if you got the order, or Lost if you did not.
- If it is Lost, record the lost reason — this helps you understand why deals slip and how to win more of them.
- Save.
Closed enquiries stay in your records and on your reports, so you always have the full history and can learn from every win and loss.
Common issues
The Quotation option isn't available yet. You have not linked a customer to the enquiry. Link an existing customer, or create one from the enquiry, and the option to raise a quotation appears.
I can't see another person's enquiries. What you can see depends on your plan and your role. Ask your manager if you need wider access.
The enquiry isn't showing in my filtered list. Check your filters — a stage, priority or assignee filter may be hiding it. Clear the filters to see every enquiry again.
