View, Filter, and Convert Leads in Bizconnekt
Once you have leads in Bizconnekt, this is where you work them day to day: finding the right one, seeing your full history with them, moving them forward, and — when they are ready — turning them into real deals. Everything about a lead lives in one place, so you always know where you stand.
Availability depends on your plan and your role.
How do I find a lead?
Open Sales → Leads to see your list of leads. To narrow it down, use search and filters:
- Search by the lead's name to jump straight to it.
- Filter by stage to see just the New, Contacted, Qualified, Converted, or Lost leads.
- Filter by source to see, say, only your IndiaMART or Referral leads.
- Filter by assignee to see the leads a particular salesperson is handling.
Filters help a busy team focus — a manager can see everyone's qualified leads, while a salesperson sees only their own.
How do I open and read a lead?
Click any lead in the list to open it. Inside, you will see everything you know about it in one view: its details, its current stage, its estimated value and expected close date, and its full activity log of past calls and meetings. This is the lead's complete story, so anyone who opens it can pick up the conversation without missing a beat.
How do I move a lead through its stages?
A lead moves along a journey — New → Contacted → Qualified → then Converted or Lost — and you advance it as things progress.
- Open the lead.
- Change its stage to the one that now fits.
- Record a short reason for the move, so the history explains itself.
If a lead will not go ahead, set it to Lost and record the lost reason — this is always captured, so you can look back and learn why deals were missed. You can also move a lead by dragging its card on the Sales Pipeline board; the stage updates either way.
How do I review and add to the activity log?
The activity log is the lead's memory — every call and meeting, newest and oldest, kept together. Open a lead to read it, and add a new entry each time you reach out.
Each entry records:
- The type — Phone Call, Online Meeting, or Offline Meeting.
- The date and time it happened.
- The direction — Inbound or Outbound.
- The outcome — for calls: Connected, No Answer, Callback, Callback Requested, Not Interested, Busy, Voicemail, or Wrong Number; for meetings: Completed, Cancelled, No Show, or Rescheduled.
- An optional duration in minutes and notes.
Because every touch stays attached, you can see at a glance how many times you have followed up and what came of each attempt. For a step-by-step on adding an entry, see How to add and work a lead.
How do I convert a lead?
When a lead is genuinely interested, convert it to start doing real business:
- Open the lead.
- Choose to Convert it.
- Decide what to create:
- An Enquiry — a specific requirement you can pursue and quote against.
- A Customer record — with a contact person, ready for orders and invoices.
- Or both, if you need each.
- Confirm the conversion.
Bizconnekt records who converted the lead and when, so there is always a clear history. The lead is then marked Converted, and the real work continues on the Enquiry and Customer it became.
Common issues
I cannot see anyone else's leads. You may only have access to your own. What you can see depends on your plan and role — ask whoever manages your account.
I cannot find a lead in the list. Clear your filters first — a stage or assignee filter may be hiding it. Then search by name.
The Convert option is missing or greyed out. Make sure the lead is far enough along and that your role allows conversion. Once it is genuinely qualified and interested, convert it.
I converted a lead by mistake. The conversion keeps a record of who did it and when. Contact support if you need help sorting it out.
I want to see the whole funnel, not one lead at a time. Use the Sales Pipeline board to see every lead and enquiry grouped by stage.
